Water for everyone – Hygolet supports Viva con Agua
Hygolet had the pleasure of supporting the second edition of the “Kick it for Water” football tournament organized by Viva con Agua Switzerland as a shirt sponsor (and of playing in the tournament itself). In addition to games, fun and a good atmosphere, over CHF 10,000 was raised for Viva con Agua’s water projects.
Kick it for Water
On the weekend of World Water Day, there was a lot of sporting action. The Hygolet team represented the WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) project in Tanzania at the Viva con Agua “Kick it for Water” soccer tournament. In the rapidly growing city of Njombe, 20 craftsmen are being trained as well and pump experts to promote local trade and build high-quality, sustainable wells. In total, 2,500 people benefit from sustainable access to clean drinking water.
About Viva con Agua
Viva con Agua is a meaningful community that joyfully makes a positive difference in the world. It is a decentralized network of people and organizations that works to ensure decent access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation*. Through the support of concrete WASH projects (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene), a social change in the sense of WATER FOR ALL shall be created worldwide.
Our commitment
As a jersey sponsor at the “Kick it for Water” soccer tournament, Hygolet was not only able to represent one of the eight teams, but also make an important financial contribution to the WASH projects. As a member of the Social Business Club of Viva con Agua, we also contribute to the medium-term goal of covering 100% of the administrative and marketing costs, so that 100% of the generated donations can be used for the water projects of Viva con Agua.
If you would like to contribute, you can find more information about Viva con Agua’s water projects here, as well as information on how you can become a one-time or annual benefactor:in providing more people with clean drinking water. Every drop counts.
