We are the only Swiss company that manufactures a large portion of its washroom equipment in Switzerland. That’s why we are particularly proud of our collaboration with the only hygiene paper company that also produces in Switzerland. We share common values such as our high quality standards, sustainable products, and Swissness. For several years now, we have been offering Oeco Swiss products in our range. We are pleased to introduce you to the story of Tela and Cartaseta.

Traditional Swiss Company

Initially independent, Tela and Cartaseta now belong to the same corporate group and are the only hygiene paper manufacturer in Switzerland. With over 50 years of experience in hygiene paper production and facilities in Niederbipp and Gretzenbach, this traditional Swiss company also embodies values that perfectly match our corporate philosophy.

Raw Materials and Circular Economy

In Niederbipp, the plant has a paper recycling facility that is unique in Europe, which not only recycles but also generates energy and treats wastewater. The water vapor produced in the process powers the paper machines and additionally heats nearby greenhouses in the region in a CO₂-neutral manner. This enables a sustainable circular economy. The recycled paper pulp resulting from the process is used both for its own paper and sold to other paper mills, with all materials being bleached chlorine-free to minimize environmental impact.

Local Energy Production and Regional Responsibility

A special example of lived corporate responsibility is that the municipality of Niederbipp is connected to the plant’s wastewater treatment facility. The plant thus actively assumes responsibility for the local community.
